A green home has been designed to stay cool without the need for air conditioning. Using plants as shade the model house is an example of how we can keep both our home and our planet from becoming too warm.

Gates Foundation Grant to fund Global Crop Diversity Trust Project
The Global Crop Diversity Trust and partner United Nations Foundation propose a joint initiative to preserve 21 of the world s most endangered food crops. Funded by a $45 million grant courtesy of the government of Norway ($7.5 million) and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation ($37.5 million).
